I love exploring the mountains of North Carolina and enjoy mountain biking, rock climbing, backpacking, and hiking in my free time. I grew up in Northern Virginia and attended Appalachian State University in Boone, NC where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in English with a minor in Communications. After college I spent some time writing feature content for a local magazine before moving to Atlanta, GA to work as a News Tip Specialist with CNN. I enjoyed several fast-paced years in the news world before embarking on a cross-country road trip for a year, eventually settling for a summer in Alaska. Becoming a full-time traveler was an invaluable experience that forever changed my outlook on life. I eventually settled down in Asheville, NC working for Sierra Nevada Brewing Company as a Tour Coordinator where I utilized my organizational skills by balancing several complex schedules, high guest expectations, and important VIP accounts.
